Boss Key Productions Closes After Two Failed Titles
Renowned video game designer Cliff Bleszinski dropped a bombshell on Monday, announcing on Twitter that Boss Key Productions is "effectively no more". At one point previous year, there were only 10 people playing the game at a given time, just enough to fill a single 5v5 match. Although Radical Heights arguably had better timing, given the recent success of Fortniteand PUBG, it too failed to garner a sustainable user base as a free-to-play game. He did not mention anything about LawBreakers' servers, despite the Boss Key Production's statement last month stating they wanted to give the game a second life but couldn't spare the resources at the moment.
The games industry would show its cruel irony here, as it had been Bleszinski himself who had introduced Fortnite to the world at E3 many years ago. Now, the new technology rages and two forces fight for control; a peacekeeping organization charged with upholding the law, and a highly-organized crime syndicate bent on breaking it. Players will be asked to choose a side - it's LAW versus BREAKERS.
It is also noted that the servers for Radical Heights will remain open for the "near future". The game was well received, Bleszinski said, but conceded it was too little, too late. "As for myself, I'm going to take some time off and reflect". He said he hopes to make games again, but for now, he will focus on his family life.

Bleszinski announced the formation of Boss Key in 2014, and LawBreakers-an arena shooter in the mold of Unreal Tournament or Quake 3 Arena-was later revealed as its debut title.
