Thomas Markle followed his daughter's wedding on TV and voiced regret he was unable to attend, United States celebrity news website TMZ reported.
It contained floral designs from her native California and all 53 Commonwealth countries.
Harry hand-picked flowers for Markle's bouquet from their home at Kensington Palace.
Prince Harry and bestman Prince William wore dark formal military dress, with white gloves and the frock coat uniforms of the Blues and Royals.

Hundreds of street parties and public screenings were held around Britain where the wedding is a welcome respite for a country still burdened by austerity and divided over Brexit.
After the procession, Queen Elizabeth gave a lunch reception inside Windsor Castle for the 600 guests.
The royal couple cut the lemon and elderflower cake, while Charles and Harry made speeches introduced by William.
The couple met on a blind date in July 2016 and had a whirlwind romance, criss-crossing the Atlantic as she continued filming in Toronto.
Harry's gilded upbringing is in stark contrast with Markle's.

Earl Charles Spencer, who spoke memorably at Diana's funeral on behalf of his family, was seen entering the church. Cressida Bonas, a former girlfriend of Harry's, was in neon stripes of pink, green and yellow.
