Authorities are still investigating a shooting that resulted in four people being injured at a popular spot along Lake Hefner in northwest Oklahoma City.
Twelve-year-old Niah is out of surgery, and the police said she is expected to survive.
Another man suffered an injury to his arm as he reportedly tried to run from the restaurant following the shooting.
The men, Juan Carlos Nazario, 35, and Bryan Wittle, 39, shot and killed the gunman, police said.
Matthews said the police "have no records of anybody making any other reports" on Tilghman in their system, though he did have a record of a 2003 arrest for domestic assault and battery from when he was 13 years old. The suspected shooter was confronted outside the restaurant by a bystander with a pistol, Oklahoma City police said.
Authorities said an adult female and a younger female were shot inside the restaurant.
The shooting happened about 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Louie's on the Lake, a restaurant on Lake Hefner.

According to police, the suspect walked into the restaurant and opened fire at those inside.
Police set up both a tip line and a family-reunification center after sealing off the area, which it described as "the area of Britton/Hefner Parkway". Bo Matthews of Oklahoma City Police told KOCO. "OCPD asks that everyone avoid East Wharf tonight so that they can complete their investigation at the scene", Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt tweeted. A fourth person sustained a "minor injury", but it was unclear how, police said.
