ESPN, Netflix Announce 10-Hour Documentary On Michael Jordan

The documentary series will be directed by Jason Heir who previously directed The Fab Five, The '85 Bears and the recent Andre the Giant documentary.

Films and Netflix are collaborating on a 10-part docuseries about basketball legend Michael Jordan, Deadline reports.

Jordan's National Basketball Association career, which spanned 15 years with the Bulls and Washington Wizards, ended after the 2002-2003 season.

A look at the Jordan-narrated trailer gives a glimpse of what to expect from the multi-part documentary-Jordan celebrating his multiple championships, a behind the scenes look at his life during his legendary run, and, of course, the shoes. The news item also notes that "Jordan, other Bulls figures and dozens of sports luminaries signed on [to provide] commentary". The series, titled "The Last Dance", is set to premiere in 2019 and according to Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, MJ has approved the project and will take part in it. In 2006, Jordan became a part-owner of the then-Charlotte Bobcats, before purchasing a controlling stake in 2010.
