BREAKING: Skeletal remains, child's clothing found near site of Hart family fatal SUV plunge
Jennifer and Sarah Hart were found dead in the vehicle along with Markis, Jeremiah and Abigail Hart, three of their six adopted children.
On 05-09-2018 at approximately 7:15 PM a Mendocino County Sheriff's Deputy was dispatched to the area of North Highway 1 and Hardy Creek in Westport, California.
The Mendocino County Coroner's Office said a sheriff's deputy was dispatched to the area of North Highway 1 and Hardy Creek in Westport at approximately 7:15 p.m. Wednesday after a local resident found a pair of jean trousers with a shoe entangled inside one of the pant legs on the ocean beach near the mouth of Hardy Creek.
A child's foot and skeletal remains were found at the bottom of cliffs in California.
The jeans were a girl's size 10 regular, and the shoe was a kids' size 3.5 and/or a women's size 5.5. An inspection led to discovering human remains of what appeared to be a human foot inside of the shoe. The clothing washed onto the shore of Hardy Creek, the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
According to the news release, the remains have been released to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office Coroner's Division, and DNA analysis will be performed to help identify the remains.

On Thursday, authorities also revealed that three children tested positive for Diphenhydramine - the active ingredient in Benadryl - as did Sarah Hart. The daily press release is still being discontinued at this time.
Last month, authorities said Jennifer Hart was drunk at the time of the crash. Skeletal remains were found inside the shoe.
The FBI placed a boy and a girl on its missing persons list, but investigators said they have no evidence indicating the two children are still alive.
A female body was found in the surf in April but has not been identified.
