On Monday, the opening ceremony of the new United States embassy in Jerusalem took place amid mass violent clashes on the border with the Gaza Strip, where more than 60 Palestinians were killed and another 2,500 injured by Israeli forces. "On this land, "legitimate defense by the Zionists" makes no sense", the president said. "This is a grave mistake".

"That holy land could not be separated from the one-and-a-half billion Muslim population of the world with political games..."

In a Wednesday phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Rouhani described the latest massacre of Palestinians by the Zionist forces in Gaza on the 70 anniversary of Nakba (Catastrophe) Day as tragic and moving and called on the worldwide bodies to stand by Palestinians.

Without a doubt, this year's Quds Day will be held more gloriously in Iran and other countries and the world will show the Zionist Regime and the White House leaders that they have chosen the wrong path and, God-willing, this will promote more unity and integrity in the World of Islam.

"The UN and the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should fulfil their duty to put their weight behind the oppressed nation of Palestine at this critical time", he said, according to a report by the Iranian President's website.

Lane Johnson triples down on his strong opinions on the Patriots
He also made fun of Patriots players for sounding like robots (with a choice word mixed in) during interviews. Oh, and don't bother trying to back up those claims because everyone knows they're B.S.

He added that the Islamic Republic would not give up under pressure, sanctions or threats.

Today the USA has violated the global regulations and should be put under pressure for that, Rouhani said referring to Washington withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA aka nuclear deal).

Iranian President Hasan Rouhani stressed on Wednesday the Islamic Republic will not surrender to the United States pressure, sanctions and even threats of war.

President Rouhani also referred to the global support thrown behind Iran after US President Donald Trump chose for his country to leave the 2015 multi-lateral nuclear deal with Iran last Tuesday.

Referring to the fact that except Israel and few countries of the region, no other country or worldwide body supports U.S. act on JCPOA, Iranian President highlighted that "all global communities, including the IAEA and the United Nations explicitly announce that Iran has lived up to its commitments and the entire world emphasizes that the US' action has been against worldwide regulations".
