Tehran said it will preserve the 2015 nuclear deal with Russian Federation despite Washington's decision to withdraw.
The meeting with Wang Yi in Beijing, at China's invitation, is Zarif's first stop on a diplomatic tour after President Donald Trump withdrew from the 2015 deal to limit Iran's nuclear program and threatened to reimpose the "highest level" of financial sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
Mohammad Javad Zarif will later fly to Moscow and Brussels to consult with the remaining signatories to the 2015 agreement.
As he arrived in Beijing, Zarif said Tehran was "ready for all option (s)", according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
That is part of a flurry of diplomatic activity following Tuesday's unilateral withdrawal from what U.S. President Donald Trump called "a awful, one-sided deal", a move accompanied by the threat of penalties against any foreign firms doing business in Iran.
Trump pulled out on May 8, claiming that Iran had violated the "spirit" of the deal by financing militant violence in the Middle East and by continuing to test ballistic missiles.
China has maintained investment and trade relations with Iran, even under the economic sanctions from Western nations before the nuclear deal.

During the call, Rouhani said the USA decision to withdraw from the deal was "unlawful" and "irresponsible".
The Iranian nuclear deal is a result of multilateral efforts contributing to the protection of the worldwide non-proliferation regime, and supporting peace and stability in the Middle East, Wang added.
Iran said it would remain committed to the deal without Washington if Tehran achieved its goals - namely being protected from sanctions against key sectors of its economy such as oil - in cooperation with other countries that have signed up to the agreement. "If the European Union leans towards accommodating the United States, all the progress we have made since 2015 will be lost".
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated his country's commitment to the deal, saying Teheran will continue to implement its liabilities.
The head of the influential Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Ali Jafari, said: "I hope recent events will lead us to end our trust in the West and the Europeans".
He added if the European powers were unable to make guarantees, "we must choose the path of self-sufficiency and nuclear industry with our own capabilities". "They will never abandon the USA for us", said housewife Poormoslem at a protest against Trump on Friday.
Iran has said it would remain in the JCPOA for now, pending negotiations with the other signatories in the coming weeks before making a final decision.
