An Oklahoma woman was mauled to death when seven dogs, allegedly belonging to a neighbor attacked her.

When Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, one of the dogs was shot. After they were captured, police transported the remaining six animals to a nearby Veterinary Hospital where they were euthanised at the owner's request.

They were believed to be dachshund-terrier or dachshund-border collie mixes.

All seven of the animals weighed less than 18kg and stood below knee-height.

"This is a bad situation, a very unfortunate situation", Bryant told KTEN. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victims", he added. "This is just a bad deal all the way around". Garcia was mauled at the intersection of Banyon and Mary Niblack roads and later died from her injuries, according to KTEN. They were estimated to be aged between one and three years old.

No decision on Justice KM Joseph as yet
The collegium intends to send Justice Joseph's name along with other names being considered for Supreme Court judgeships. Justice Joseph's name came up for recommendation once again after the Centre had raised concerns about it.

The dogs, whose legs were shorter than a human hand, ranged in age from one to three years old, with three females and four males.

Amanda Dinwiddie, a euthanasia technician at Ardmore Animal Shelter, said the "predominant breed" in the dogs was "standard dachshund".

"We were cleaning ticks off ourselves all day", Dinwiddie said. "You can tell they have been living out in the woods".

Bryant said autopsy results and other information regarding the case to the District Attorney's Office by Thursday. After reviewing the necessary documents, the District Attorney would decide whether to press charges against the pet owner.

Garcia was born and raised in Oklahoma, according to her obituary.
