"If it is the case that the actions of Ukrainian law enforcement bodies are somehow connected with the professional work of these media organisations, that would be outrageous and scandalous", Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
Moscow will demand access to the detained RIA Novosti journalists who are Russian citizens, acting Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, adding that Russia is working to clarify the situation. SBU spokeswoman Olena Hitlyanska confirmed to RFE/RL that Vyshinsky was detained but gave no details.
"Yes, the searches are conducted", Gitlyanskaya was quoted by the Ukrinform news agency as saying.
She said that more details would be made public later. Ukraine says Russian Federation is fighting a "hybrid war" with Kiev, spreading propaganda while supporting the separatists with troops and sophisticated weaponry and launching cyber attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, which Moscow denies.

"In this case, the actions of the Ukrainian security forces deserve the harsh condemnation by the competent global organizations" - quoted Peskov RBC. "This is not the first time when the Kiev regime tramples on fundamental rights and freedoms, persecutes journalists..."
