Annette O'Toole & Corbin Bernsen Join Punisher Season 2
Marvel's The Punisher has added two more to its ranks for season 2, Netflix announced Thursday.

Following the critically-acclaimed spectacle of the first season, The Punisher season 2 looks to be amping up the intensity - at least on the casting front.

Smallville alum Annette O'Toole and Corbin Bernsen (American Gods) will be joining The Punisher as Eliza Schultz and Anderson Schultz, respectively.
Josh Stewart and Giorgia Whigham are also joining the series. Returning regulars from season 1 include Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. the titular Punisher), Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, and Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle. His power and legacy are of prime importance, and Schultz will implement less-than-legal means to further those ends. The Punisher, as he continues his mission to clean up the streets of New York City by any means necessary - no matter how lethal the results.
The series, starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, was a bit refreshing after recent offerings of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist were found to be lacking. The first season of his own series saw the antihero uncovering a bigger, much more sinister conspiracy that reached deep into the dark underbelly of the United States government and military.
The second season of The Punisher now has no premiere date. Our own review praised the show as one of the most successful of Netflix's comic book adaptations.
