US detainees thank Trump and God for release from North Korea
On May 10, US President Donald Trump had tweeted: "The highly anticipated meeting between Kin Jong Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th".
He'd said he favored holding the meeting at the Demilitarized Zone, the heavily fortified border separating the Koreas.
"We would like to express out deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and the people of the United States for bringing us home". Pompeo returned overnight with three captive Americans during his most recent trip.
North Korea had accused the three Korean-Americans of anti-state activities.
The three appeared to be in good health on their release.
The meeting would be the first ever between a sitting US President and a North Korean leader, reports CNN.
