The company has released its annual investor report, which includes the intention to mine the Activision IP library as part of its plans for the second half of 2018.
While Activision didn't say what games they would be remastering or when they would be released, there are rumours circulating that a remastered version of Spyro the Dragon is in the works.
While Spyro is the most likely remaster candidate, that doesn't mean that there aren't other options or that Activision isn't working on multiple remasters. In 2016, it released Modern Warfare: Remastered, which also reviewed well (even if its method of release was less well-received). The move comes after the much successful Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy launch on PS4, which should be followed soon by ports at least on Nintendo Switch and PC. While the two are not entirely similar - Spyro is more of a "traditional" 3D platformer - there are certainly quite a few PlayStation gamers out there who fondly remember Spyro as one of the few 3D platformers for the console that could challenge the mighty 3D platformer library of the N64.

This is the first time the publishers have solidly confirmed they plan on releasing remastered titles this year. Needless to say, that would be quite fantastic. That's far less likely this financial year if Spyro is in the spotlight though.
According to publication site GameRant we learn that Activision will continue updating existing games and adding features to them, shipping out remastered titles of older/existing titles in the near future, and that the company itself, Activision, seems to be $4.4 billion in long-term debt.
