Google's Slack Competitor Hangouts Chat Launches For Businesses Using G Suite
Dropbox has announced a partnership with Google Cloud to deliver a more unified home for work. With this partnership, users will be able to create, open and edit files built with Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides), that are saved into Dropbox.
"Dropbox is increasingly building out its content collaboration functionality with the freedom to use whatever tools [customers] want to use on whatever platform that they want to use", said Quentin Clark, Dropbox's senior VP of engineering, product, and design. "We're excited to work with Google to break down silos and centralise the information teams rely on every day".
Meanwhile, Business Report reported today that Google is offering a free AI and Machine Learning course with its new Learn with Google AI website.
These integrations will be made accessible for all Dropbox users. However, it is recommended that individuals interested in taking the course, should have some level of proficiency in programming basics and Python. "Working with Dropbox to make our apps work better together helps our customers focus their time on work that matters".
