James Wan Updates Aquaman Trailer
Aquaman will be set after the events of Justice League and center on Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) as he takes on the responsibilities of the throne of Atlantis and protect his underwater kingdom from arch nemesis Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).
The Aquaman director chose to respond to rumors that a trailer for the upcoming DC Comics film was dropping this weekend and, when it didn't happen, that there must be production problems. Wan explained that the film is VFX heavy, and the graphics in the trailer too apparently are taking a very long time to complete.
"Hey friends, I usually do my best to avoid internet noises (especially fabricated distractions) but a teaser-trailer going out this weekend was never in the books", the 41-year-old filmmaker confirmed. "It's not because of anyone or any nefarious reason holding it back - IT'S ME", he said.
One of the big "off-season" blockbusters on the docket that folks are eager to see is Aquaman, Warner Bros. and DC's follow-up film to Justice League.
"I am simply not ready yet to share". Wan even used "oceanic puns" to describe the Aquaman trailer's delay.

Wan also spoke on the "slow and laborious" process of editing visual effects and his refusal to release anything that "might be construed as subpar".
In his third tweet, Wan perfectly knows that fans might think that they are not doing anything to give them a glimpse of Jason Momoa's much-awaited movie.
Surely, Aquaman will be very interesting as teased by Wan in an interview with Entertainment Weekly past year.
The film is due for release next December and early screening reactions have been positive. "Let's take the character everybody makes fun of and do something really interesting with him".
DC fans might not yet have a first trailer for the upcoming Aquaman, but one fan is helping pass the wait for an official look at the movie with a new fan-made trailer.
