Launching a stinging attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Madhya Pradesh Assembly's Leader of the Opposition Ajay Singh on Tuesday alleged that the BJP is using Rs 2,000 notes for influencing Karnataka assembly elections.
In both Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the saffron party lost all the by-elections (two Lok Sabha and three assembly seats) to Congress earlier in February. A high-level meeting held at the State BJP headquarters at around 7.30 pm and later another meeting was scheduled at the Chief Minister's residence after 10.30 pm. An unidentified party member told PTI that new heads of the party in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh would be announced soon.
Sources said BJP Chief Amit Shah is likely to replace state unit chiefs in Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Delhi as well. "I will continue to work in accordance with the responsibilities given to me as a disciplined party worker".
